Jan	14th	Jill Fielding Band	Jill, Pete & Nigel play a play a wide range of Contemporary & Traditional English, Irish & American & Appalachian songs. The arrangements are a joint effort. All members of the band are accomplished musicians in their own right, before coming together to form the Jill Fielding Band.
Jan	21st	Tony & Marianne Downs	Tony began his musical career with Mike Harding, a partnership that lasted 6 years. Then for the next 20 years became one half of the highly successful comedy duo, "The Beggar men". Now he teams up with Pete Martin as "Hanky Park". Tony sings Lancashire Folk & Old Time Singalong & also performs monologues and subtle, witty repartee. Marianne is a marvellous singer and it is well worth going out of your way to hear her.
Jan	28th	Geoff Hegginbottom	This powerful voice from the North West sings traditional, sea shanties, rousing chorus songs, contemporary & self-penned songs from his own Busby Babes & Peterloo either unaccompanied or with guitar or bodhran. Night unfortunately cancelled due to heavy snow. His next booking at the Cross Keys will be in July!

Ken Howard Prior to their forthcoming Australian Tour Pat will perform traditional & contemporary songs. Her strong guitar style is augmented by Ken Howard's sensitive accompaniment on cittern, guitar & mandolin. Pat has appeared with "Jolly Fine Company Company" in "The Old Lamb & Flag" on BBC TV, on local & national radio. These two tailor their performance to ensure a rapport with their audience & to keep them entertained.

Mar 3rd Ben Sands Ben Sands’ songs, music & stories paint pictures of a legacy inherited in those early, influential years on a small farm in Newry, County Down on the East coast of Ireland. He was born in the foothills of the Mourne Mountains. The family home became a very popular "Ceili-House", the focus for singers & musicians from miles around, Ben became a cornerstone of the illustrious Sands Family & is a successful solo performer & recording artiste a "great singer of great songs".
Mar 10th Steve & Kristi Nebel Steve's strong song writing & Kristi's wonderful voice & base playing focus on performing songs they have written themselves that deal with life in Alaska & NW Canada. They are peace activists & currently reside in Tacoma, WA, USA.

Grainger A professional performer for over 15 years and is best known as a solo artist Grainger is a strong singer & his extensive repertoire of traditional material is delivered with & without accompaniment of his guitar. Richard is a native of Middlesbrough & he is passionate about his roots, the contrasting worlds of industrial Teesside & the moor & cliffs of the Cleveland Coast. Several of his songs are widely sung throughout the English speaking world.

Apr 6th Ann English Very popular local singer/songwriter with quality guitar, with 30 years on the folk scene. Her new CD was released on Friday 6 Feb 04.
Apr 13th Pete Abbott Excellent night. Anthony John Clarke has recorded two of Pete's songs: 'Almost A Year' & 'Another Evening In' says: "Pete Abbott writes a truly beautiful ballad that touches the corners of the mind & soul that others cannot. I really love his songs." To complement these songs Pete not only has a great voice he is also a fine guitarist, able to provide the perfect accompaniment to his songs. One of the leading female duos in the country, they offer songs ancient & modern, seasoned with warmth & wit, & certainly know how to captivate. The perfect act for a listening audience which is keen to participate. They have developed a show entitled "We are The Women Left on the Shore", which makes hearts swell & tears flow. June 16th Bram Taylor An entertaining artist with a superb voice & relaxed stage presence who has his audiences singing, laughing from his infectious sense of humor & occasionally shedding a tear or two. Bramwell, born in 1951 in Leigh, had an early career presenting TV programmes, describes himself as a collector & interpreter of songs, performs on acoustic guitar, duet concertina or unaccompanied & regularly tours America & Holland.
June 23rd Whitney Gin Whitney Gin are a lively band from West Yorkshire. They have played the club many times. This should be a night with plenty of good chorus songs.
June 30th Bandersnatch Six individuals of immense experience create a sound that combines rich vocal harmonies with excellent musicianship. Within two or three bars you will know that you are in for a treat! Bandersnatch are quite simply a delight! Expect a magical and moving experience & if all that's not good enough the band are 'Game for a laugh' with their spontaneous patter perfectly pitched to please.

Ron Truman Border has been recommended by Geoff Hegginbottom who covers a lot of his song. Ron has recorded 7 albums in 5 years and although he is a recent new comer to the folk scene he is rapidly gaining a positve reputation as a writer & performer.
July 14th Lynn & Barry Hardman Lynn & Barrie are as politically hard hitting as ever, singing songs to make you think, in their own style which values Lynn’s powerful voice and Barrie’s excellent harmonies. This popular couple have played the club many times, their enthusiasm and well crafted arrangements of songs is a winning combination.

He's lost none of that unique presence, with a grand line in chat & anecdotes, and his songs are as relevant, perceptive and hard-hitting as ever. An evening with Tim slips by all too quickly. Aug 11th Keiran Halpin Born Drogheda, Co. Louth, one of the very finest Irish contemporary songwriters, he is one of the best. The songs are only part of the story, Halpin has a voice that sells the songs & has the effect of accentuating all the emotions.

Aug 25th Tom Paley Born and raised in New York City, Tom Paley instruments are Banjo,guitar & fiddle. American Old-Time music & Swedish fiddle-music! In Sweden, he's been awarded the Zorn-medal for his Swedish fiddling. For a time, he performed with Woody Guthrie, Mike Seeger & John Cohen. In 1966 he moved to England, where he has lived ever since.

Grant Baynham ex-'That's Life!, guitar-playing & writing, comic songsmith to the stars. QuickSilver are so named because the initials H & G form the elemental symbol for mercury. Superb musicianship, entertaining presentation & exceptional quality of material combine to provide one of those nights that you know you are going to remember for a long time.
Sept 22nd Anthony John Clarke Irish born professional performer, his style ranges from humorous songs to more serious reflective comments on life as he sees it! His songs "Seven in Ireland" & "Irish Eyes" have been described as two of the best songs ever written about Ireland. Not to be missed!

Aug	25th	Tom Paley	Born and raised in New York City, Tom Paley instruments are Banjo,guitar & fiddle. American Old-Time music & Swedish fiddle-music! In Sweden, he's been awarded the Zorn-medal for his Swedish fiddling. For a time, he performed with Woody Guthrie, Mike Seeger & John Cohen. In 1966 he moved to England, where he has lived ever since.

Sept	1st	Pete Coe	One of our most versatile and impressive performers, step-dancing whilst playing and singing. He is simply the most entertaining & exciting performer about. His dry wit, strong voice and his instrumental versatility is a sheer delight from start to finish.
Sept	8th	Harry Pask	Welcome return to the Cross Keys of one of the most regularly booked locals who is both talented and popular. Sings a wide variety of material, with fine guitar accompaniment, expect a lively night. Plenty of chorus songs both new and old.
Sept	15th	Quicksilver	Hilary Spencer's voice is worth crossing deserts & mountains to hear (That Voice in Artisan). Grant Baynham ex-'That's Life!, guitar-playing & writing, comic songsmith to the stars. QuickSilver are so named because the initials H & G form the elemental symbol for mercury. Superb musicianship, entertaining presentation & exceptional quality of material combine to provide one of those nights that you know you are going to remember for a long time.
Sept	22nd	Anthony John Clarke	Irish born professional performer, his style ranges from humorous songs to more serious reflective comments on life as he sees it! His songs "Seven in Ireland" & "Irish Eyes" have been described as two of the best songs ever written about Ireland. Not to be missed!

Oct	6th	Mundy Turner	Cath Mundy & Jay Turner, are an internationally-touring acoustic, original songwriting duo based in Brisbane, Australia. Both performers are impressive vocalists. Cath, lyrical violin & piano, Jay, versatile guitarist. Their live performances are strong with original material, harmonies, humorous stories.

Oct	27th	Dave Tuxford	Welcome return to the Cross Keys of one of the most popular local singers with an impressive well chosen catalogue of songs sung really well. Dave is also an accomplished guitarist.

Wed Fri	3rd 5th	Tickawinda Tickets Only!!!	In 1979 "Tickawinda" were the resident band at the Rose & Crown folk club in Stalybridge and they were very popular; they played throughout the country. Now reunited after 25 years! Guaranteed night of entertainment!
Nov	10th	Kevin Tarpey & Steve Wooley	Kevin and Steve are both excellent musicians with a wide choice of material. They run the popular Full Circle folk club at the Hare 'n' Hounds, Shudehill on a Friday night.
Nov	17th	Tom McConville	Tom is a virtuoso fiddle player and song master of National and International fame. He never fails to enthral his audiences with his huge repertoire of traditional and more contemporary songs and tunes.
Mon Weds	22nd 24th	Clive Gregson Tickets Only!!!	One of Britain's most cultured singer-songwriters, has recorded & performed internationally, his songs have been recorded by many artists. Clive is currently trying to dream up something special to mark his 25th anniversary as a professional musician in 2005.

Dec	1st	Real Time	A formidable new line-up of talent........Kenny Speirs on guitar, Judy Dinning a singer songwriter with suberb vocals, Iain Anderson a brilliant young fiddle player. Superb harmonies..... traditional Scottish songs with Kenny and Judy's own compositions.....a winning combination......the keyword to Real Time is versatility. Tom Roseburgh joins the band for the larger UK gigs.

Dec	15th	Stanley Accrington & Friends	Tomorrow's news in the style of yesterday's songs in an original traditional way. Sometimes daft, usually different. The Bard of Shaw gave his first live performance at Stalybridge's Buffet Bar in 1979. Stanley Accrington (that's not his real name) local man, former Rochdale Station Master, is revealed as a talented wordsmith, scatalogical, good-naturedly xenophobic and occasionally brilliant.
